Spanish program for Teachers

This Spanish program is designed to meet the Spanish language needs of  high school and middle school Spanish teachers, or bilingual/ESL teachers. The Spanish school offers advanced Spanish classes for teachers, a program that builds on the immersion experience to refresh and refine mastery of the language. We also include classes on Mexican culture and the Mexican educational system. Kukulcan´s Advanced Spanish classes for Teachers will not only improve your grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading, and pronunciation skills in the Spanish language, but will also expose you to Mexican traditions and folklore, which you can modify and use in your classes when you return home. The advanced Spanish for Spanish teachers program includes seminars and workshops with Mexican educational professionals and a cross-cultural examination of the Mexican educational system.

We also specialize in Preparatory courses for Spanish proficiency tests (such as the TOPT) for bilingual educators or certificate program like CTEL for California teachers. In addition we can arrange for student teaching opportunities at local schools. These can be as brief as two weeks or as long as a full semester.

Whether you are looking for in-service or pre-service credit hours, continuing education units, or just the pleasure of learning more Spanish, our Advanced Spanish classes for teachers will satisfy your needs.

You may qualify for scholarships or funding via organizations such as NABE (National association of Bilingual Educators ) or ACTFL (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese), or your home school district.

Continuing Education Credits can be obtained through local universities or colleges with whom we have collaborative agreements for salary step increases. Furthermore, we provide CTEL certification in the state of California in conjunction with CSULB .
